Alpha

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of video presentations, run over about 12 weeks, looking at topics such as:

Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die?
Why and how should I read the bible?
Why and how should I pray?
What about the Holy Spirit?
How does God guide us?
How can I overcome evil?
Why and how should I tell others
Does God heal today?
What about the church?

After the videos we divide into smaller groups and discuss any questions including those raised during the video talk.
(There is an opportunity to go on a 'weekend' away. This has been a valuable part of the course and a great success in helping people get to know each other.)

At the completion of the course there is a Dinner to celebrate the culmination of the course and give others the opportunity to participate in a future course.

Alpha is usually run about once a year or every second year. When it is not run, there is usually another course run in its place.
