Fees & Uniforms

St John’s is an Independent Primary School. As such, it is a non-government school in which we receive partial (60%) government funding. The remaining money needed to run the school comes by the way of fees paid by parents.

The fees for educating your child at St John’s covers the following:

  • Educational costs, eg books, stationery
  • Local excursions
  • Sporting events
  • Cultural events

The exceptions are the annual sleep-overs/camps.

The fees for 2017 are:

We offer a 5% discount to anyone who wishes to pay their entire yearly fees up front by 15th March 2017. Those wishing to do so simply need to pay in Term 1 when the fee statements are issued and by the due date.

Fees include Student Accident Insurance cost of $9.00 per child.

Fee invoices are issued the second week of each term and should be paid within a fortnight.

However, we are happy to accept payments by instalments, if this suits your budget better.  In this respect, payments can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly etc. by arrangement.

Little Saints Fees:

As Little Saints is not funded by the Government in any way, we are unfortunately unable to offer any fee assistance in order for a child to attend Little Saints.

However, we have been able to come up with some great savings to enable greater attendance.

Attendance 1st and 2nd days per week: $32

Attendance 3rd and 4th days per week: $28

Attendance on the 5th day per week:  $20

Plus Student Accident Insurance cost of $9.00 per child

Places are limited so if you would like to increase your child’s attendance, you are advised to book your child in sooner rather than later.

Our Uniforms

All children are required to wear an official school uniform to school and for certain excursions and special functions. Hats are compulsory for all children for Terms 1 and 4 and according to when the UV index reaches 4 for when outdoors.

Our children are proud of their distinctive uniform and they look smart and confident when they are worn correctly.

Both summer and winter uniforms for boys and girls have been designed to be practical, economical, long-wearing and easy to maintain.

School Uniform Shop

All items of the uniform are only available from the school’s uniform shop, which is located in our Train!

By having a shop at school, this allows us to pass on considerable savings to parents and also to maintain positive standards in uniforms. The shop also sells second hand items in good condition.

Shop hours are Monday and Thursday from 9.30am until 3.30 pm. Should these hours not suit, our Secretary is available to assist you in any way that she can.

Simply phone the office to make a time to come out to fit your child for their uniform.

School Uniform Photos 2017

Lost Property

Please name all items of your child’s clothing. With over 300 children wearing the same items, it is imperative that you label all items of your child’s clothing with their own name.

Even if purchasing second hand uniforms, it is important that you then rename all items.

Should an item of clothing go missing, children are to look first of all in their classroom and bag lockers and/or playground where they were last playing.

If the item still cannot be found, a lost property box is located in the breeze way between the Year 5/6 classroom and music room.
